Job Description

A large Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare are currently seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join their KS1 team from January.

This school is part of a Large Academy Trust who pride themselves on being able to provide an adaptable curriculum to support each child individually. The Role

The Head Teacher is looking for someone to join the school on a Full-Time basis where you will be eager to join the team and support, encourage and develop staff and children around you.

The successful candidate will show full understanding of the KS1 curriculum and have a desire to work closely with families from diverse backgrounds.

You will be expected to:

• Have great knowledge of Phonics and the screening test.

• Ability to assess children’s knowledge and development.

• Plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning.

• Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children.

• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
