Empowering Learning are delighted to be working with an OFSTED graded ‘Good’ school in their search for a upper KS2 teacher. The role is to cover a nine month period of maternity. The role will be full time from Sept 2023 – Aug 2024. The role is based in the NG5 area and has excellent links to the city centre.

The school are looking for someone who:

• Holds qualified teacher status
• Has at least one years experience working within a primary school
• Has an understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Can deliver engaging sessions to children in year 3/4
• Is able to differentiate sessions to meet a range of needs within the class
• Can manage behaviour within the class effectively

The main duties within the role will be:

• Planning and delivering lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
• Following the school’s behaviour and rewards policy to help engage children
• Assessing children’s work using the school’s marking policy
• Delegating a classroom TA to help support targeted children
• Writing end of year reports to feedback to parents/carers
