About Ark Elvin Academy:
Our school motto is Magne Aude – ‘dare for greatness!’ Not only do we dare for greatness, we support our teachers who dare as well. The school has made huge improvements, something reflected in our professional, hungry and happy staff, including its supportive senior leadership team.
At Elvin we believe in investing in our staff – through great training, a meaningful and joyful team spirit and opportunities for development within and beyond Elvin. This is something we live by – ensuring every member of our school community has the support, resources and knowledge to do their best work and feel the pride and sense of community that comes from doing such powerful work together. Our clear and embedded school routines are essential to our striving for excellence – and support all teachers to have impact in their classrooms from the first day of teaching.
But the main reason you will want to stay at Elvin is our pupils: they are proud of their school and want to work hard – our school’s sense of community is palpable. Our school’s diversity is a strength and one that makes Elvin such a rich environment to work – from pupils to staff, all are proud of their backgrounds and cultures and what it brings to a vibrant and caring community.
About Ark Schools:
Ark is a charity that aims to transform children’s lives through education. In the UK, the strongest predictor of how a child will do at school continues to be what their parents do for a living – but why should this be the accepted status quo? By working in our network at one of our 39 schools, you will be directly making a positive impact on young people’s lives through high-quality teaching and thoughtful consideration of all backgrounds and needs, making educational equity a reality.
About Ark Teacher Training:
Ark Teacher Training (ATT) is a school-based programme offering the perfect mixture of theory and classroom practice to develop you into the best teacher you can be. Because we believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves to have access to a great education, we work mainly in communities of lower income with a history of academic underachievement. We are very proud to have just received our second ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted in all categories! There are only a few ITTs in the UK that can say the same. Alongside this, our programme is also incredibly supportive and bespoke, as you will see below.
