Full Time Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Pay Rate: £370-£385 per week

Start Date: ASAP (Once vetting completed)

The ideal candidate will have:

• A supportive and nurturing approach with classroom management.
• Demonstrate a desire to research and find out more in order to improve their own practice.
• Understanding of the Primary curriculum.
• Flexibility and creativity and a strong commitment to teamwork.
• Ability to manage pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Patience and a sense of humour.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Previous experience with SEN.

You Will Need

• Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we will help with application process.)

Job Role

Getting the classroom ready for lessons and supporting teachers in managing class behaviour, group activities, outings and sports events. Other daily work includes helping children who need extra support to complete tasks, looking after children who are upset or have had accidents, clearing away materials and equipment after lessons, listening to children read and reading to them. Doing 1:1 or small group work with pupils requiring additional support.
