Teaching Assistant (Immediate Start) – Slough

We have a fantastic primary school located in the Slough area who are seeking a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils in their educational studies. The role of the Teaching Assistant is full time role available immediately.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with SEN children with autism of primary school age. As a Teaching Assistant will need to provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)

The Role:

• Teaching Assistant supporting children with autism and ASD across different year groups within a primary school
• To provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
• To work with individual students, small groups and support in whole classes within an agreed system of supervision under the direction of the SENDCO and SEND Hub Manager

Requirements:

• Previous experience with SEN either in a previous role or some capacity would be ideal for this role as a Teaching Assistant
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is ideal though not essential
• Have a good understanding of the key skills and traits required to be a great Teaching Assistant for children with SEN
• Be able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3.30pm
• Either live in Slough or within a commutable distance
