Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school for children with special education needs.

The school offers places for children with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) identifying SEMH and other complex needs.

Located within Preston, the school is easily accessed by public transport or by car and has onsite parking available.

The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants, but also those with a youth work background or to those who have either mentored or coached children with challenging behaviour. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

  • Minimum rate of pay – £80-85 per day
  • Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a similar setting
  • LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
  • GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
