A short stay Pupil Referral Unit in the Smethwick area is looking for a calm, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team. The setting supports Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have been permanently excluded, or who are at risk of exclusion. You will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to ensure that students receive an inclusive and supportive education. To apply for this challenging, yet hugely rewarding position, you need to have proven experience of supporting individuals with social, emotional and behavioural needs and a solution focused approach in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. The role is full-time, term time only, with an immediate start, paying between £70-£85 per day depending upon skills and experience.
