Job Title: 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Disley, Stockport

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Salary: Weekly Pay

Contract Type: Temp-Perm

Required Qualifications: Enhanced DBS on the update service

Experience: Ideally, experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, especially autism and associated social and communication needs.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Disley, Stockport. This role involves providing individualized support to children with autism and associated social and communication needs in a bespoke and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one support to a specific student with autism and associated needs.
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans tailored to the student’s requirements.
• Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
• Aid the student in academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and positive atmosphere.

Requirements:

• An Enhanced DBS on the update service is a mandatory requirement.
• Preferably, previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, particularly autism and associated social and communication needs.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of the student.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of the student.
