SIMON LANGTON GRAMMAR SCHOOL FOR BOYS-1
Applications are invited for this key post in an exceptional Grammar School with an impressive academic record.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed Psychology Teacher to join the department at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving department which has experienced growing numbers of A-Level students since its introduction to the school in 2019.
The successful candidate will bring with them a passion for Psychology and an overarching ability to engage and challenge our students. A knowledge of AQA Psychology would be an asset, however a strong subject knowledge and evidence of being an excellent classroom practitioner is vital.
We are looking for someone who can create a stimulating classroom environment that will motivate students to learn and think independently and develop the student’s ability to critically analyse Psychological research and theories.
As a department we aim to encourage students to push themselves in sub-curricular activities and are currently running a research project alongside Kent University. We would welcome an applicant who has a strong interest and knowledge of research design and a passion for providing opportunities for students to extend their interest in Psychology.
Applications from Early Career Teachers (ETCs) are welcome as are applications from more experienced teachers.
If you require further information, please email Mrs Sue Rollinson, HR Officer, ( ).
Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
