Are you an experienced Art & Design Teacher who is looking for a new opportunity with an ASAP start?

Or are you a recently qualified Teacher of Art & Design (ECT) who can enthuse, motivate, and engage well with students?

Academics are currently in partnership with a Staffordshire Moorlands secondary school that is seeking to appoint an experienced Teacher of Art & Design to cover a short term absence.

Our client school (which currently has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating) is known for its wide and ambitious curriculum, however the staff make sure that students learn effectively in all subjects to the best of their own ability. This school has a welcoming environment and they wish for all students to engage and achieve!

Applications are welcome from English Teachers at any stage in their career, including recently qualified teachers (ECT’s & NQT’s).

The Role

• Start date is ASAP.
• Full time (Monday-Friday).
• Work is guaranteed until the Christmas holidays (December 2023).

Role Requirements

• Hold the relevant Art or Design qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK QTS (Qualified Teaching Status).

• You ideally will have a current Enhanced DBS that is currently registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to have a new DBS check completed through ourselves (cost applied).

• You will have prior experience of teaching Art & Design to both Key Stage 3 and 4.

• Provide professional education references that evidence your experience of teaching Art in a school or education setting.

• Have strong behaviour management with excellent subject knowledge.
