Hays Education are looking to recruit a teacher to work a mixed Y1/2 class in the Nailsea area. In addition, we are offering personalised training to help you further your career success and teaching ability. Your new School and RoleYou will be working in a small friendly school with a strong support network of teachers helping to ensure that the quality of education is always of the highest standard. This is a mixed form class, split between 12 Year 1 students and 16 Year 2 students. There is a full-time teaching assistant who will be working closely with you, giving all the support that you need to teach. The school is situated near the Nailsea area, and place extra on value student happiness within schools. To achieve student happiness, they allow children to be outside for at least 20% of their day and take classes into nature, allowing children to play whilst learning. The staff in the school are very supportive and have mentorship opportunities with senior teachers to allow early career teachers more confidence to advance their personal careers in education. The role will be starting in the first week of term 5 and continuing until the end of the academic year. What you’ll need to succeedFor the application to be successful we require previous experience within the last 5 years teaching in a school setting. We also require a Qualified Teachers Status, a safeguarding certificate completed within the last 12 months. As this is a small school, we require a teacher who can fit in and work as part of team. A calm demeanour is also essential as this school has updated their behavioural management policy. We are seeking a KS1 specialist who has passed they’re NQT qualification and has at least 3 years’ experience working as a class teacher. We also require a DBS certificate on the update system or be willing to apply for one through Hays.
