Swimming Programme Manager – Basingstoke

Up to £35,000 + teaching +development

We are looking for a commercially and operationally astute Swimming Programme Manager to oversee all the aquatics activity and revenue lines across two superb state-of-the-art Sports, Fitness and Swimming Centres with multiple swimming pools in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, develop and grow the large swim schools, 1-1 tuition and school bookings.
• Coordinate, manage and develop the overall pool programme/timetable for both centres.
• Maximise all aquatics revenue streams i.e. school swimming, lessons, casual swimming, external & swim club hire and other ticketed events.
• Recruit, develop and support a large team of swimming teachers.
• Work with key aquatics partners, clubs, schools and bodies.
• As a senior manager in the business, support other departments to ensure all customers have an amazing customer experience.

The Person

• Good energy, organised, passionate about swimming.
• Working knowledge of the ASA learn to swim pathway as an instructor/teacher and Swim England/STA level 2.
• Team leadership experience within aquatics such as a Swimming Development Manager, Swim-Co-ordinator, Swim Manager, Aquatics Manager, Sports Manager, Programme Manager, Activities Manager, Centre Manager or General Manager.
• Able to work during some of key swim school times (weekday afternoons, Saturday or Sunday mornings).
• Able to reliably commute to Basingstoke each working day.
