Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an 11-16 coeducational secondary school graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas, during Ofsted’s most recent visit. The school are frequently in need of additional teachers, to support with daily cover needs. We have been working with the school to build up a pool of cover teachers through Teaching Personnel, who are called upon on a weekly basis to support the school. The school is easily accessible by car or public transport. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure regular work with the school, based around your current availability of lifestyle.
Cover teachers are needed to cover a teacher’s short-term absence from the classroom where the absence was not known about in advance. Pupils in these classes will carry out a pre-prepared exercise under supervision; no active teaching takes place. Although the school will often call on the morning that cover is required, due to the shortage of teachers post pandemic, we are often ‘prebooking’ educators a week or more in advance.
