Job Overview: We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Special Needs Primary Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing environment that supports the unique needs of our students with special needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the teaching team.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
• Collaborate with the teaching staff to implement and monitor behavior management strategies.
• Support students in developing independence and life skills.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the students’ care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with special needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Basic understanding of assistive technologies and other resources for students with special needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
