Reed Further Education are proud to be appointed as the Managed Service Provider for the South Thames College Group and REED are supplying all staffing for across the whole college group. The South Thames Colleges Group is made up of Kingston College, South Thames College, Carshalton College and Merton College, which merged in 2017.

South Thames Group are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support them on a temporary basis with an immediate start date

Location: Carshalton/Merton/Kingston (supporting 3 sites, mainly Carshalton and Merton)Hours: 5 days per week, 9 till 5Salary: £18 to £25 per hour

Duration: Temporary on going for the rest of the academic year (Term time only)

The Role:

• To support the delivery of the HR service to staff and managers.
• To support the delivery of services such as recruitment, absence management, induction, performance management and organisational change.
• Be required to perform administrative duties in support of the HR function and the processes associated with the delivery of the service across the Directorate.
• Be required to Liaise with the Payroll team, and where appropriate Finance Team, to ensure that payments are processed and allocated accurately and in a timely manner and that payroll audit requirements are met.
• Ensure training needs identified in the recruitment and induction process are administered through the Cascade system, following up any outstanding issues as required. Ensure that queries relating to job-related qualifications, including teaching qualifications, are directed to either the relevant HR Manager or Quality.

What the HR Advisor will need will need:

• Extensive experience of working in an HR administration role.
• ecperience working in an HR advisory role.
• Intermediate level including Word, Excel and Email.
• Educated to at least Level 3 and have Level 2 in English and Maths
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
