We are looking for an SEN TA to work in a vibrant educational institution in BS16 dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. We believe in unlocking the potential of every child, including those with special educational needs, and we are looking for an individual who shares our commitment.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the development and success of students with challenging behaviour. Collaborating closely with experienced teaching staff, you will contribute to the overall success of our inclusive education program.

Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated support to students with challenging behaviour, facilitating their participation in various learning activities.
• Implement and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team and parents.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting social and emotional well-being through tailored interventions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting is advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education or a related field is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Desirable Skills:

• Training in behaviour management techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of special educational needs and inclusion best practices.
• First aid certification.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with regular school hours.
