Job Role: SEN Teaching AssistantFocus on: AutismLocation: Tower HamletsStarting date: ImmediatePay rate: £85-£95 per day (depending on experience)GSL Education London is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a primary level SEN school located in Tower Hamlets to support children with Autism. The school requires an experienced professional who has the love for working with children having special needs. The selection of applicants will be based on a trial and interview with the school.The School:This is a forward thinking mixed school with good reputation. The school has got some excellent teachers in leadership role who are committed to maximise the outcomes for SEND pupils. The school offers a safe environment for pupils from varying ethnic backgrounds. As a SEN Teaching Assistant (focused on Autism), you will possess the following:
- Understanding, good knowledge and experience about children with Autism
- Level 2/3 SEN Qualification
- At least one year of experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a school setting
- Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills and the understanding of inclusion, making all learners feel acceptable and promote the idea of inclusive learning
- Capable to understand and implement the school’s behaviour policy, the SEN Policy and the code of conduct including the issuing of rewards and sanctions within the academy’s policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in undertaking observations for assessment of SEN children
