Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Location: London Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and making a positive difference in their lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join various schools in London. About Us: We are a small education recruitment agency who work with a wide variety of schools across London, including mainstream primaries and secondaries, as well as SEN schools and Alternative Provisions. Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to; Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN), assisting with their learning and development. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student. Support students in the classroom, helping to create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and included. Assist with classroom activities, sensory needs, and behavior management to ensure a positive and engaging educational experience for students. Foster a supportive and caring rapport with students, promoting their self-esteem, confidence, and independence. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and provide regular updates on students’ progress and achievements. Requirements: A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both students and colleagues. Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential. Flexibility, patience, and adaptability in responding to the diverse needs and challenges of students with SEN.
