Learning Support Assistant Specification
We are currently hiring a Learning Support Assistant who is looking to make a difference and has a genuine passion and desire to work with SEN children.
The role of a Learning Support Assistant is to support the main classroom teacher delivering their lesson plans. You will be working 1 to 1 in a Year 1 class with a child with ASD and ADHD. You will be supporting the child with their classwork, keeping them focused and maintaining a positive approach to learning and doing intervention sessions.
As a Learning Support Assistant prior experience is not required, however additional skills such as arts & crafts, sports, music and additional extra-curricular activities are greatly appreciated, as well as mentoring/coaching experience.
The primary school is based in Thornton Heath and is a diverse school with a welcoming, community spirit.

– Able to start straight away
– Has the right to work in the UK
– Has experience working with children and is comfortable working with SEND children
– Has had experience working with SEND children
