Reed Education are actively recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a SEN school based in Rochester to join their successful support team. The Headteacher is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to come in and help make an impact on their student’s education, creating a fun and engaging learning environment within the classroom. They want to recruit a teaching assistant with an excellent grasp on good and outstanding teaching, confident in their ability and able to consistently deliver effective learning with a positive approach.

Applicants must be able to work collaboratively and have some prior experience of working with children or young adults. Experience of working with young people with SEN and / or physical disabilities would be an advantage, but it is not essential. A willingness to contribute to other areas of school life would be welcome. This will give you the opportunity for professional development and potential progression to go further within the industry.

The ideal candidate will:• Be patient and willing to build relationship with children.• Have an empathetic nature.• Be approachable, kind, caring towards all children within the school.• Good behaviour management.• Have excellent communication skills.

Requirements:• Must have experience working with children or young adults.• Available to work from January.• Be emotionally resilient.
