Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant – Colchester, Essex
This really is a fantastic opportunity, this primary school in Colchester are looking for someone who is considering a long term career within education or working with special educational needs.
In this SEN Learning Support Assistant role, you will be supporting the progress of students with Autism (ASD). These students are behind with their education and social development in comparison to their peers. As a result, academic and social support is what you will be required to assist with.
You will personally be working with a fantastic team of LSAs and will be very well supported by the teaching and senior leadership team as well as being mentored by the school SENDCo.
You will receive a high level of induction and training and will be offered amazing training courses such as:
– Makaton & PECs
– Colourful Semantics
– Attention Autism
– Behaviour management
– Safeguarding
This Learning Support role would be suitable for an experienced LSA who has worked in either primary, secondary or SEN schools, or a recent graduate with ambitions of working in education or someone who has worked with SEN in another capacity such as nurseries or within the adult or child care sector.
