We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is flexible, organised and is passionate about supporting the teaching and learning for young people who have medical or mental health needs. The role is based at all all through maintained special school serves children & young people aged 4-19 who are unable to attend their home school due to a wide range of medical and mental health needs.

As a HLTA you will be required to oversee the support for young people, this involves communicating with parents and enrolled schools, as well as assisting in the deliver of an appropriate curriculum within a hospital school setting and support planning for re-integration. One of the crucial elements of the role is engaging young people when they are finding it difficult to focus by finding dynamic and spontaneous ways to involve them.
