School pastoral and safeguarding administrator South Birmingham, B45 Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm Your new companyA secondary school in south Birmingham, B45 is looking for someone to carry out interim administrator cover within their Pastoral office. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.00 am till 4.00 pm and is term time only on a time sheet basis. Your new roleRole and responsibilities include but not restricted to: To be responsible for the official reflection room paperwork. This includes letters home via parent mail and royal mail. To be responsible for preparing the register every morning for the reflection room and making sure that all equipment and resources needed for the day ahead are present. To be responsible for the logging of all fixed term suspensions on SIMS. To ensure that these logs are correct and transferred to the local authority when needed. To be responsible for the official suspension’s paperwork. This includes letters home via parent mail and royal mail. All paperwork to be copied and communicated appropriately to all stakeholders such as (HOY, PSW, SLT, Pupil File). To be responsible for completing and updating daily the reflection room and suspension behaviour tracker. This is then communicated each evening to the Deputy Headteacher in charge of pastoral. To be responsible for the centralised same night detention system logistics. This includes recording, reporting, and printing daily registers for staff running the detention. Ensuring students’ parents/carers are notified of detention via a text message at agreed time periods. To be responsible for all administrative aspects of permanent exclusion, including but not limited to preparing letters and packs, notifying all relevant people organisations, arranging the Governor disciplinary meeting. To be responsible for the behaviour tracker, logging all behavioural reports and then adding these to SIMS. Keeping the tracker up to date, making sure all statements are logged and updating this with information from staff for actions taken and the overall outcome.
