The Bexley education supply service supplies whole school recruitment to schools within the Bexley borough as the preferred supplier service for all schools within the Bexley Borough, having held the contract with the council for the last 3 years

The Bexley education supply service is looking to appoint a enthusiastic, and dedicated HLTA/ Cover Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing Year 2-6 classes and managing student behaviour in the absence of a teacher during PPA time. They maya also be called upon to cover for a teacher who is absent due to illness, professional development, or other reasons.

CONTRACT DETAILS

Location: Slade Green

Role: HLTA/ Cover Supervisor

Contract: Permanent – ASAP/ January start

Salary: £100-120 P/D

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring student behaviour and maintaining discipline in the classroom
• Leading class activities and facilitating learning
• Assisting students with their work and providing support as needed
• Managing the classroom and creating a positive learning environment
• Supervising students during breaks and other activities
• Providing feedback to the teacher on student progress and behaviour

To be successful in this role, the cover supervisor should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well with students, and have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classrooms and with different age groups. A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is often preferred, but not always required. Some schools may prefer candidates with experience working with students or in a classroom setting.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• HLTA or BA/’ Education based qualification
• DBS on the update service
• Ability to drive or travel daily to the Bexley Borough
• Hold Right to work in the UK
• Have 3 years’ worth of (Viable) references
