Five Education is working with a mainstream primary school based in central Bristol that is looking for a Key Stage 1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a year 2 child on a full-time basis. The candidate will be supporting a child with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. Due to this, the successful candidate will have experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in an educational setting. This role is on a full-time, temporary basis and will start in Term 5 (the week beginning April 17th) Responsibilities and duties: Assisting and supporting a child with SEMH needs Using behaviour management tools/ techniques to support the child to access the full curriculum Supporting the child with self-regulation techniques Assisting the child with their social development Attending inset training as necessary Prepare resources for differentiation under instruction from the teacher Essential Criteria: Experience working with SEN children Experience working with challenging behaviour An understanding of behaviour management tools/ techniques Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa) Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/ Police checks Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes. Able to work 8.30-3.30, 5 days per week term time only.
