The Head of Science at this school has transformed the department, creating a syllabus that has made STEM accessible for all. As such, uptake of STEM subjects has increased with passionate, high achieving students. The Head of Science has also ensured the department is staffed with a vast array of TAs to support teacher’s lessons.
Physics Teacher – Job Description:
- Inner London Scale, MPS1-UPS3 £34,502-£54,482,
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons to KS3&4 students,
- Provide support and guidance to students, encouraging them to reach their full potential in Physics,
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as required,
- Mark and grade work accurately and efficiently in line with school policies,
- Attend departmental and school-wide meetings and training sessions as required.
Physics Teacher – Person Specification:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) is ESSENTIAL,
- Passionate about Physics and dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and learning,
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills,
- Strong academic background with a degree in Physics or a related subject,
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in extra-curricular activities and events.
