Do you currently work in a social care setting but are tired of the unsociable hours and shift work? Are you looking to work within a school setting? We are looking to recruit a Personal Care Assistant/Teaching Assistant to work full time within a Special Education Needs School in Bury. The school has two large sites catering for a wide range of age groups from 11-18. The role will be provide personal care, assist with supporting meal times and other physical support needs such as assisting with moving and handling requirements. As a personal care assistant it is essential that you are able to provide support to maintain the student s dignity and Independence at all times, have an encouraging nature and be able to maintain positive relationships with students and staff. The role is full time Mon-Friday, 08:30 to 15:30 each day. This is a long term, ongoing role. We are keen to speak to people who have professional experience of care providing but would also consider those that have previously been a carer to a family member. The role is long term temporary and full time, and could lead to a permanent post. Successful applicants will be subject to referencing and DBS checks, including both adult and child barred list checks
