Job Title: Nurture Teacher
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum
Location: Shifnal School, Shifnal, Shropshire
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent; Term Time
About our School
Hillcrest Shifnal School is undergoing an exciting project to grow our site and our current offer. This project will consist of a nurture space and vocational areas such as construction, catering and hair & beauty. This growth means we are looking to expand our staff team and we hope that we can find the perfect person to join the Hillcrest Shifnal team.
We are a small school on the outskirts of Shifnal with stunning grounds and rolling countryside surrounding us. Our staff are dedicated to delivering education in a therapeutic and trauma informed way.
As part of our new structure, we have an opportunity for a Nurture Teacher. This role will work within our brand-new nurture space with the support of Teaching Assistants. Our vision for this role is to create a space for our pupils who need a more bespoke setting for their needs. The more nurture we provide for our pupils, the more they will thrive.

About you
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) or Autism. You will have a successful background working in a school and a track record of supporting staff within a team. You will be expected to contribute to creating a culture that enables all learners and staff to excel.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom.
