About our School
Hillcrest Shifnal School is undergoing an exciting project to grow our site and our current offer. This project will consist of a nurture space and vocational areas such as construction, catering and hair & beauty. This growth means we are looking to expand our staff team and we hope that we can find the perfect person to join the Hillcrest Shifnal team.
We are a small school on the outskirts of Shifnal with stunning grounds and rolling countryside surrounding us. Our staff are dedicated to delivering education in a therapeutic and trauma informed way.
As part of our new structure, we have an opportunity for a Nurture Teacher. This role will work within our brand-new nurture space with the support of Teaching Assistants. Our vision for this role is to create a space for our pupils who need a more bespoke setting for their needs. The more nurture we provide for our pupils, the more they will thrive.
We are part of the Outcomes First Group and can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career. Our vision is to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people to be happy and to make their way in the world. Every day we improve the lives of thousands of young people, their families and communities through a relentless focus on caring and learning.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) or Autism. You will have a successful background working in a school and a track record of supporting staff within a team. You will be expected to contribute to creating a culture that enables all learners and staff to excel.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom.
