Learning Support Assistant – WinchesterAcademics are seeking hardworking, empathetic and committed Learning Support Assistants to work in an SEN School in the Winchester area on a short, long term and temp to perm basis. You will be required to work across the school on a group and 1:1 basis with pupils aged 11 – 19 years with various special educational needs. Due to the nature of the school, this would ideally be suited to a Learning Support Assistant with previous experience of working with children/young adults with complex learning and physical needs either in an SEN school, or care environment. This may include personal care and feeding duties.You MUST:

• Have recent experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant in a school setting, ideally within an SEN school
• Ideally have a childcare/education related qualification e.g. CACHE 3 or NVQ3 in Childcare
• Have experience of working with children with SEN/challenging behaviour
• Be able to show good behaviour management skills.
• Be available full-time
• Ideally be based in the Winchester area or happy to travel for work.
• Be friendly and open to new challenges.
• Qualifications such as Makaton, PECS, TeamTeach would be an advantage
