Pearson Whiffin Education is currently seeking passionate individuals for a Learning Support Assistant in Canterbury.

This role is dedicated to providing outstanding support to students with special educational needs. You will play a pivotal role in helping students to thrive emotionally and academically. Previous experience in an SEN support role is desired but not essential.

As Learning Support Assistant you will build strong relationships with students to help develop their emotional and educational progress. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure that during all learning and activities SEN students are supported to the best possible standard.

Your responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant will include:

• Providing support for students with a variety of additional needs
• Supporting students in their learning in a way that suits their needs
• Managing behaviour
• Providing emotional support to students
• Assisting with maintaining a safe and positive environment throughout the school
• Being alert to any safeguarding or pastoral concerns
• Helping classroom teachers to deliver a high standard of education
