An Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary School in Sutton is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for their specialist provision to support children who have mild special educational needs. You will support the class teacher to develop the children to help them thrive and achieve; The children have communication and interaction challenges that require you to forster a safe enivornment within which they will feel encouraged and comforted. You will assist with their needs and provide physical care when needed. Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and group support
• Maintain the learning environment
• Plan own tasks for the day
• Student record taking
• Respond to students’ needs positively
• Contribute to classroom activities

Your skills and experience:

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs desirable
• Basic IT skills
• Working knowledge of safeguarding children
