Are you passionate about providing encouragement for teenagers in need of educational support? A Secondary School in Sutton is looking for a Learning Support Assistant for its SEN Department. You will provide learning support to students with mild to complex special educational needs and disabilities. The class eacher will need your assistant to supervise groups of SEN students whilst promoting inclusion and self-esteem among them. Safeguarding their welfare is highly important to your role, as well as providing any hygiene care the students may need. Your skills and experience:

• Experience working with SEND pupils at secondary school age
• HLTA experience
• Competent providing support for Mathematics
• An understanding of and able to apply SEMH strategies and behaviour management techniques
• Excellent communication and rapport building skills
