Learning Network Inspector
F or the attention of current or ex-headteachers (or other senior leaders with relevant successful experience of successful education leadership).
The position is initially until the end of the academic year but is likely to continue to be extended. This is because the school improvement service is funded by delegation of the DSG and has to be agreed annually by the Schools’ Forum.
This is an opportunity to come and join a successful, dynamic and forward-thinking team in a local authority who have established, strong partnership with its schools and settings, leading to excellent outcomes.
We are looking to supplement our team of Learning Network Inspectors (LNIs) with an additional LNI for this academic year (starting January 2024). Along with the Head of School Improvement and other LNIs the new LNI will be the point of contact for all schools in their Network and offer the appropriate support and challenge to primary schools, with more intensive support and monitoring being offered to a small number of schools requiring additional support.
If taken as a secondment or a sabbatical this would offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in another role and a greater understanding of school improvement across a wide number and variety of schools which will benefit you when you return to your role as Headteacher. If taken as a fixed term contract this will offer you the opportunity to join a highly regarded and effective School Improvement Team.
