KS2 Nurture Teacher – Permanent

Engage Education are currently working in partnership with a special educational needs school on an exciting new SEN Teaching vacancy in Barnsley .

Starting in September, the school is looking for an outstanding SEN KS2 Nurture Teacher to join them on a permanent basis.

What they are looking for is someone who has the ability to work with learners who have SEMH issues and those who are disengaged from education.

Your Role:

• Delivering the lesson to learners with complex learning needs

• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class

• Providing feedback to teachers and parents

• You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities

• A range of behaviour management techniques

• To have worked with learners with a range of needs

• The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods

• To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time

• A resilient attitude
