Located in Hextable near Orpington, an exciting opportunity has risen and the school is looking talented Teacher of IT and Computing. You would have the privilege to work alongside some phenomenal staff that work extremely hard to provide their students with the best preparation for life so that alongside academic achievement they can develop the life and work-related skill they would need. The students at the school are aged 11 – 19 years and all have an EHCP for Communication and Interaction needs, often related to Autism.

As a IT and Computing Teacher you would be proficient in teaching the subject and we welcome those who are new to teaching as long as you have a passion for teaching young people. The school provides a program of specialist training and induction so that you quickly feel part of our team

Main Responsibilities:

• To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
• To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
• To contribute to maximising of student attainment.

A Successful IT Teacher will have

• Have a QTS or PGCE
• Have previous teaching experience
• Have engineering experience ideally, but not essential
• Have previous SEN experience would be ideal bot not essential
