Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Harrow January Start

SEN HLTAHarrow, HA3£90-£110 daily rate

LTF Recruitment are working on a fantastic oppurtunity within one of our partner schools in Harrow who are eagerly seeking a qualified HLTA, or experience Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team this new year. This HLTA role will be delivering lessons and group sessions to two groups of 6 children with special educational needs, working with one group in the morning and the second in the afternoon. The successful candidate will be delivering pre-planned classes, and intervention sessions, with the support from Teaching Assistants who will also be present in the class.

The Role:

• Planning and leading engaging and educational lessons to two small groups of children
• Supporting small groups of children with special educational needs, ensuring lessons are inclusive and tailored to the needs of pupils
• Managing the behaviour of the classroom
• Effectively utilising Teaching Assistants during lessons to ensure effective deliver of lessons

The successful candidate:

• HLTA qualified, desirable but NOT essential, experienced Teaching Assistants are encouraged to apply!
• Have at least one years’ experience working with special educational needs is essential
• Have at least one years’ experience working within Primary Education as a HLTA or TA
• Strong understanding of Autism
• Able to form effective relationships with staff and children alike
• Strong role model for children
