The Right Ethos – Specialist External Affairs Recruitment
Salary expectation: £54,000 This is a full-time role
The British Ecological Society was founded over a century ago by a group of individuals committed to supporting ecologists – scientists with a passion for the natural world. That commitment remains today and, with a global membership spanning 120 countries, we continue to shine a spotlight on the intricacy and importance of nature and support those who help us better understand it.
To enable us to deliver our new Strategic Plan, we are looking for an experienced and creative professional who can help us realise our ambitions in how we market the organisation and our work, so delivering a step change in engagement, support and reach. Strategic and outgoing, you will enjoy working with communications, events, membership and publications teams, to develop and deliver audience-led marketing plans and activities across the organisation, including new processes and ways of working.
About the role
With an audience that ranges from university professors to conservation managers, from ecological consultants to farmers and landowners, and from government departments like Defra to funders like UKRI, this is a role that is full of variety and challenge. You will have a flair for language, an understanding of the importance of audience and will enjoy analysing and interpreting data to underpin successful campaigns that deliver vital support for our work.
