What will you do?
Manage and coordinate the effective delivery of the range of services under the postholder’s control in accordance with the service’s business plan objectives, budgets, and performance standards.
Lead the planning and delivery of capital programmes.
Act as senior technical adviser on matters of building design, maintenance, management, and operation
Oversee the provision of various technical and corporate landlord services, both customer facing and internal support in nature
Lead responsibility for Asset Management Planning within the school’s estate
Pursue opportunities to attract external business for oneSource services under the postholders control, working in conjunction with the Director of Asset Management.
Play a proactive role within the senior management team of Asset Management, making a positive contribution to the achievement of cross-service objectives.
Work with a wide range of stakeholders in fulfilling the above roles, to include senior management teams, Directorate leadership teams, trade unions, school head teachers and governing bodies, external organisations, and agencies.

What do you need?
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate the following on application and through the interview process:
A significant understanding of the workings of local government and the challenges being set by the new government agenda along with the financial, legal, and political context of local government.
People management including motivation, performance, and capability.
Running major operations or service provision
The ability to set the strategic direction for Capital Delivery and Corporate Estate, drawing up an overarching strategy for the service and the necessary supporting plans for delivery.
