Full-time General Teaching Assistant job in Shirehampton, Bristol. Starting ASAP on a long-term basis. Your new companyThis large primary school in North Bristol is looking for a General Teaching Assistant to start in Term 5. The school has over 500 children from their nursery up to year 6. The school have a large supportive team who will welcome you from day 1. The school has large outdoor space which promotes outdoor learning.Your new roleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting across KS1 classes with general classroom support duties, small group interventions focussed around literacy and numeracy activities and also some 1:1 support. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be regularly communicating with children, teachers and parents. This is a long-term role from the start of term 5 until the end of the academic year.What you’ll need to succeed

• You will need strong communication skills, especially when working with groups of children.
• You should have experience within a classroom setting in the last 2 years.
• You will be required to have a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
