Experienced Learning Support Assistant
Are you an experienced and passionate Learning support assistant looking for the next stepping stone in your career? Academics are currently working with an outstanding school in Woking, who are recruiting for an Experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
The successful experienced learning support assistant will work closely with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils and promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. They will support pupils, individually or in groups, to make sure they have the best chance of succeeding.
As an Experienced Learning Support Assistant you will need to fully support students up to GCSE level, adapt your support depending on the needs of the student, and make observations and carry out sessions instructed by the teacher to improve progress.
As an Experienced Learning Support Assistant you will be working alongside teachers, as well as other support staff, in order to help students to progress within the classroom.
Key skills and experience needed for this Experienced Learning Support Assistant position:
Degree is preferred, in subjects such as psychology and sociology
Passionate about teaching and knowledge of the UK curriculum
An enthusiastic and creative approach to learning.
Support with the delivery of the curriculum.
High levels of professionalism
Previous experience working in a TA/LSA/HLTA position
Commutable distance to the Woking area
If you already have the ability to lead a class with experience, this would be advantageous but is not essential.
