Do you love teaching English and inspiring young minds? Do you have excellent subject knowledge and a creative approach to curriculum delivery? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for a permanent English Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. You will be teaching English to students in Key Stage 3 and 4, following the national curriculum and preparing them for GCSE exams. You will also be expected to contribute to the wider life of the school, such as extracurricular activities and pastoral care.

The ideal candidate will have:

– A relevant degree in English or a related subject- A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification- QTS or QTLS status- Experience of teaching English at secondary level- A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning- A positive and enthusiastic attitude- A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share good practice- A clear DBS check

The position is permanent, with 1.0 FTE (5 days per week). The start date is January 2024, and the salary is based on the main pay scale, depending on experience and qualifications.
