Job Title: English Lecturers
Position: Full Time, Part Time, Temporary
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £20 – £25 Per Hour, Inc Holiday Pay
We are currently on the lookout for English Lecturers as our Yorkshire and Northeast Further Education team are working in partnership with some of the most well-known education establishments in the West Yorkshire area. We have new vacancies available regularly, with both temporary and permanent roles.
The successful candidate will be involved in delivering, developing & preparing English lessons to Further Education learners. You will have an English background and the ability and drive to push a diverse group of college students to their full potential.
Your duties will include:
- Planning and delivering all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment. Supporting learners to reach their targets.
- Managing learners to succeed and achieve their potential.
- Promoting an innovative and collaborative approach to work for the planning and delivery of lessons and assessments.
The Successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Level 5 teaching qualification, e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE.
- Relevant highest vocational qualification or degree in English.
- Knowledge and experience of the GCSE English 8700 (AQA) and functional qualifications.
- The ability to deliver English to mainly 16-18-year-olds, with a small number of adults who will be on the GCSE and functional skills programme.
- To be able to plan and deliver quality teaching across a variety of modules.
- Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery within a Further Education or school sector.
- Knowledge of relevant IT packages such as, Microsoft Word & Excel.
- DBS on the update service.
- Level 2 or equivalent in Maths.
