Job Description:

We are working alongside a good school in Handsworth seeking a talented EAL Teacher to join their team to start as soon as possible. This EAL Teacher role is initially up until Christmas with the possibility to go permanent for the right candidate. This is a full-time position that involves teaching primarily in Key Stage 3-4.

Responsibilities for this EAL Teacher role:

• Curriculum Planning: Develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Classroom Instruction: Deliver high-quality EAL instruction to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for EAL.
• Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to support individual learning goals.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, while effectively managing behavior and promoting mutual respect.
• Differentiated Instruction: Tailor your teaching approach to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.

Qualifications/Skills for this EAL Teacher role:

• A Bachelor’s degree in EAL or related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
• A passion for teaching and a deep understanding of EAL.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to engage and motivate students.
