About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and then spreading great ideas.
The Communications Team is critical to us spreading these ideas. We can only reduce violence if people hear about what works and put it into practice. We need youth-workers, police, social workers, policy makers and headteachers to know what works to reduce violence. Your job is essential to this.
Your job is to make sure that people working with children come to our website and come across our content. In particular you will help to ensure that people visit the Toolkit section of our website both through creating direct channels and ensuring that our charity is highly ranked when people search for information about violence involving young people. You will drive up unique monthly visits to our website. You will also contribute to the redevelopment of the YEF website in order to ensure that we can secure desired engagement rates amongst priority audiences. You will be a key part of our team.
