Our client, a University are looking for a motivated individual to join them in the role of Development Associate for the Faculty of Law, where you will be part of a dynamic, creative and supportive team delivering on some of the University’s most significant fundraising priorities.

Salary: £32,348 – £42,155
Law and Criminology at the University are ranked second in the UK for research power under the Research Excellence Framework. These impressive results underline their continuing success as a global leader across an expansive range of legal disciplines and sub- disciplines. You will be responsible for securing philanthropic gifts for posts, research programmes, student support, and their Access and Widening Participation Programme, working with world- renowned academics such as Professor Mark Elliott, Chair of the Faculty of Law.
The University’s Development and Alumni Relations Office has an outstanding track record of securing philanthropic income. You will be working as part of the Schools Programme team which is dedicated to supporting their academic colleagues across the University in their pursuit of excellence in research and education. They are a warm, supportive and fun team who look out for each other and collaborate widely.
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident self-starter, collaborative, robust and innovative in approach. Key to your success will be the ability to engage with a variety of audiences, strong negotiation and communication skills, a desire to engage with donors and potential donors, and an understanding of the educational mission of the University.
This position would particularly suit someone with either experience of working in the legal profession with proven knowledge of international law firms and the UK legal system, major gifts fundraising or high-level client relationship management, ideally gained within Higher Education
This role is based in central Cambridge. They practice a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.
This appointment is for a period of four and half years in the first instance.
