Educated Appointments are delighted to be supporting an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ Further Education College to hire a Programme lead for their Construction department, specialising in Brick/Plastering. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients Construction Department for a new or experienced highly motivated Programme Lead. Applicants are invited from an On-Site Construction (OSC) Brick background ideally able to deliver a selection of core subjects such as: OSC Principles of Construction OSC Construction of Cavity/Block Walls OSC Construction of Solid Wall and Basic Arches Health & Safety in Construction A broad-based knowledge of the wider Construction sector would also be advantageous. The successful applicant will teach across a range of full time and part time programmes to students typically studying from Level 1 to Level 3 including Construction T-Level core content based on prior industrial/teaching experience. Applicants are therefore invited to apply who hold the following: A relevant OSC Brick Level 3 qualification or equivalent and/or be able to demonstrate significant industrial experience in the Trowel/general OSC fields. Level 2 in maths and English (GCSE Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent) as a minimum. Candidates will ideally hold, or be working towards a full teaching qualification, be qualified to level 3 in their specialism and have a record of accomplishment of delivering high quality teaching and learning. Experience of leading course provision and coordinating Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) are essential together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators. The Programme Lead role will include working closely with the Programme Area Manager to monitor courses and course data and plan programmes to maximise resource and funding. Ensuring learner progress is tracked and maintained on College IT systems, and retention and achievement levels are maintained and improved upon are important features of the Programme Lead’s responsibilities, as well as the development and implementation of systems/processes and other improvements to support the management of learning.
