Randstad are in search of a trustworthy and knowledgeable Computer science Teacher to join our team and help us support a Secondary school located in the Burnley area. The School will be requiring someone for as soon as possible up until Christmas. At this point the school will be reviewing their staffing needs and will inform you if you will be required from January. Alternatively if you are looking for a long term position, we do have roles available from January 2024.

The school will be requiring someone with strong knowledge of computer science principles and programming language, effective communication skills to engage and inspire the students, the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, experience in curriculum development and lesson planning, and of course a passion for continuous learning.

Pay Rate: £140.00 – £220.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by producing , reviewing and updating curriculum plans Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
• Develop approach to self – directed learning , use technology to support learning
• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Set homework and mark promptly
• Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
• Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
• Respond to questioning
