SEN Learning Support Assistant role – Aspiring Criminal Justice Officer Milton Keynes- Education and Training – Learning Support Assistant role – Aspiring Criminal Justice Officer- Milton Keynes
This SEN LSA role to begin immediately, focuses on how young people experience shame, we don’t have emotions that we feel for no reason. Having the ability to display empathy is crucial, this work isn’t hypothetical. You will have the opportunity to trial in the school and make an informed decision.
The approach here is “Why do we have to wait for something to go wrong?” That filters through to a Restorative approach, a ‘High challenge, High support approach’.
When children have shame, as awful as this can sound, is useful. Shame can be a teacher and children often do not respond well to shame and it unfortunately drives them to make the wrong decisions and don’t know what to do, when they have done the wrong thing.
Knowing a child’s name, giving them positive praise, these are just some of the restorative elements that help you build a solid relationship, over time, with consistency.
