About the role

You will be working with Autistic students aged 16-21 years old within this excellent special school’s post-16 class. Students may have issues with their speech and language, understanding basic and complex concepts and may need assistance with every day tasks and personal care. Individuals with experience working with ASD from either paid or personal routes (i.e. parents of children with ASD, Residential Support Workers, SEN Teaching Assistants) are encouraged to apply. Experience using PECS and Makaton are desirable for applicants but not essential.

This role will be full-time Monday-Friday during term time 8.30am-4pm so applicants must be able to commit to this.

They are well known for their commitment to the education of students with additional needs and ensuring they give their students the right tools they need to be successful both inside and out of the classroom.
