Your roles and responsibilities throughout this role will include:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with ASD, implementing strategies to address their unique needs and promote their learning and development.
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and implement individualised education plans, tailored to the specific requirements of each student.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with ASD, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
• Assist in the implementation of sensory and communication strategies to support student engagement and participation.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians on their academic and social development.
• Promote independence and life skills development, helping students with ASD build resilience and self-confidence.

Requirements:

• Valid and up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
• Relevant experience working with students with ASD or within special educational needs (SEN) settings (desired).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students with ASD.
